CSC Hacks is Pitt Computer Science Club's annual project kick-starter.
Design and develop a project of your choice, in your own time, over the course of 5 weeks. Then win tons of prizes. You can go solo or make a team!
Hone your software engineering skills, get funding and exposure for a promising idea, or just learn something new. Every few weeks, **milestones** help keep you on track to build great projects. At the end, submit your project along with a short (≤ 4 minute) video. Projects are judged by club members for several categories, and winners can receive prizes up to $1200!

We've built CSC Hacks with beginners in mind. For those with zero programming experience, we encourage you to use this as an opportunity to get your first hands-on coding experience.
CSC Hacks was designed from the bottom-up to be as flexible as possible so anyone with an idea can make steps towards realizing it.
Personal projects are a fantastic way to get experience translating ideas into real things. Personal projects build software engineering skills, design skills, and leadership skills — all valuable traits for landing dream jobs, and building successful startups.
